Privacy Policy — World Solitaire

This policy describes how World Solitaire (“we”) handles information in the World Solitaire iOS app and on https://world-solitaire.com.

We do not require an account. We do not show ads in the app. We do not sell personal data. We do not use data for tracking across other companies’ apps or websites (no IDFA / App Tracking Transparency).

1. What we collect

iOS app

• Gameplay scores. When you win, the app sends your score and the country code you chose for the leaderboard (for example en or ru) to our Google Sheets backend so country totals can be updated.
• On-device only. Country choice, theme, and your local contribution totals are stored on the device (UserDefaults). They stay on the device unless you win, in which case score + country code are sent as above.
• We do not collect your name, email, precise location, contacts, photos, or a persistent user ID.

Website

• Leaderboard: same as the app — score and country code on a win.
• Feedback form (/feedback/): name, email, rating (1–5), and message. Each submission is stored as a new row in our spreadsheet.
• Analytics (website only): Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics and Ahrefs Analytics. They may set cookies or similar identifiers and record pages viewed, device/browser type, approximate location (from IP), and in-game events (moves, hints, win/loss) together with the selected country code. This is not used in the iOS app.

Servers (including Google) may see a technical IP address as part of a normal HTTPS request. We do not store IP addresses as a field in the leaderboard or feedback sheet.

2. Why we use it

• Run the country leaderboard.
• Read and respond to feedback.
• Understand how the website is used and improve it (analytics).

Legal bases (where GDPR applies): legitimate interests in operating the game and the site; consent for analytics cookies where required; performance of a request you send via the feedback form.

3. Who receives data

• Google — Sheets / Apps Script (scores and feedback); Analytics / Tag Manager on the website.
• Ahrefs — website analytics.

We do not sell data to advertisers.

4. Retention

Leaderboard totals are kept while the service runs. Feedback rows are kept until we delete them. Website analytics follow Google’s and Ahrefs’ retention settings. You can clear on-device and browser storage yourself.

5. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask for access, correction, or deletion of feedback you sent, or object to processing. Contact us via the feedback form. You can also use browser cookie controls and, in the EU/UK, refuse non-essential cookies where a banner is shown.

Children: the app is rated 4+. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children to identify them.
